The internet is always down for new rainbow things, whether they’re related to hair (rainbow roots), home goods (rainbow tears, via a unicorn candle, of course), or makeup (rainbow highlighter). Now artist Emily Seilhamer has upped the ante with a gorgeous rainbow dress — that just happens to be made out of 10,000 Starburst candy wrappers.
As shared on Bored Panda, Seilhamer recruited her family and friends to gather enough wrappers to make her rainbow dream come true. All in all, it took four years to gather, link, and sew the dress together. The result is pretty impressive, and super cute to boot.
The use of Starbursts for her dress isn’t totally random. In her original Facebook post, Seilhamer shares her personal reason for choosing the chewy candy: she and her husband met when he offered her a candy, years before she turned that inspiration into a dress.
