Don’t mess with a man’s barbecue sauce.
Waffle House workers in Georgia learned this valuable lesson the other night when they got into a heated confrontation with a patron over the prized condiment — and were forced to call cops due to his unruly behavior.
Willie Edward Drake, 43, of Columbus, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct for the Tuesday incident, according to the Macon Telegraph.
Employees at the local Waffle House had tried explaining as nicely as they could to him that they didn’t carry the brown stuff, but he wasn’t having it.
“I’ll go to (expletive) jail over some barbecue sauce!” Drake told them.
And that’s exactly what happened.
After “screaming obscenities and insulting” the staff, which included three women, the cops were called and Drake was taken into custody for acting “uncooperative and disorderly,” the Telegraph reports.
Workers said his threats ultimately caused them and the customers to “fear for their safety.”
Drake was jailed later that night and held on $390 bond. He was still locked up on Friday.
