Shocking moment woman is attacked on a train for refusing to give up her seat to a commuter carrying a baby’

When that too failed, she decided to plonk herself down anyway, forcing the lone female traveller to move along.
But the mother’s pal saw red when she flicked a sarcastic smile back and replied: ‘There’s nice ways to ask’, yanking her up from her seat by her hair and prompting a violent tussle in front of dozens of other speechless tube users.
The younger woman almost had her tight-fitting polka dot top pulled off as she tried to defend herself against the hair-pulling and a punch before turning around and attempting to open the doors to get off the tube as it pulled into a station.
The amazing scenes happened in the Peruvian capital Lima and were recorded on a mobile phone by one of the other passengers.
The two-minute-long footage was uploaded onto Facebook on February 27 and has gone viral with hundreds of thousands of reproductions, sparking a frenzied debate on social media sites as to who was in the right.
Witness Alondra Arana said: ‘I was there. The woman with the child was offered a seat but was determined to sit where the girl with the curly hair was.
‘She was rude and mean from the start.’
Jose Luis Mallco added: ‘They’re terrible these women who think that just because they get on with kids, you should have to give your seat up to them.
‘If they see they’re occupied they should wait for another bus. They get on a packed tube with five children and they create problems.’
Local Adrian Maldonado replied: ‘It’s a reserved seat and has to be given up to whoever needs it.
‘Maybe the woman in this case didn’t ask nicely but she doesn’t have to ask for it because it should be given up automatically.’
