The man, believed to be between 25 and 35, was found inside the metal bin outside a 7-Eleven on Northern Boulevard near 62nd Street in Woodside around 2:35 a.m., cops said.
It wasn’t immediately clear who made the grim discovery.
The Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how he died, but police sources said it appears he committed suicide by tying one end of the belt around his neck, the other around the bin’s door, and sitting down until he passed out.
The deceased is described as a Hispanic man standing about 5-foot-7 and weighing 160 pounds.
Authorities released this photo of a tattoo reading “Paola” found on his chest.
