Thugs’ attack ended with man’s head getting crushed by train, cops say

Police have released video showing the two men who beat a straphanger at the Union Square subway station shortly before he was struck by a train.

The duo can be seen running along the Q train platform where the beating took place and fleeing the station around 3 a.m. Saturday.

The men began punching the 41-year-old victim in the face until he fell to the ground with his head hanging over the edge of the platform.

His head was then struck by a train, leaving him with a fractured skull and face and bleeding on the brain.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in serious condition.

Anyone who may have seen the suspects or has any information about the incident is asked to call the NYPD at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
