A woman reportedly lost control of her car during Monday’s solar eclipse in Kentucky — crashing into a crowd of people who were watching the spectacle, leaving one person dead.
Alyssa Noble, 38, was driving through the town of Hayden, Ky. when she suddenly swerved into a telephone poll and plowed into two women who were watching the eclipse, according to WLKY-TV.
One woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the second was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, the network said.
It was not clear whether Noble was attempting to view the eclipse when she crashed.
